This 1320 L/min reverse osmosis water treatment plant, containing two identical 3-stage RO modules, is the largest unit of this kind ever manufactured by BI Pure Water. It includes 18 vessels with four RO membranes in each vessel and a separate CIP (clean-in -place) system, allowing cleaning of each stage individually or, if so desired, of all three stages simultaneously. Recovery is 80%. A fraction of the incoming well water stream is subjected to greensand filtering for removal of iron and manganese, and mixed in with the treated RO stream before disinfection with chlorine and storage

The Rushmere water treatment plant has the capacity of 300 liters/min and is designed for treating surface water drawn from Lake Windermere in the beautiful Kootenay area of B.C. This plant, which is servicing the community of Rushmere, contains a state-of-the-art ultra-filtration system with automatic backwashing and flushing. The plant is also equipped with a membrane chemical clean-in-place (CIP) unit and an air integrity testing system for detection of membrane fouling or mechanical damage.. The ultra-filtration modules are preceded by a coarse filter followed by finer cartridge filters and a Chlorination System for disinfection.
